Caesarea, Haifa, Akko, Rosh Hanikra

  • Visit ancient Caesarea with its Roman amphitheatre, port, hippodrome, and aqueduct. This is a magnificent archaeological site which has been incredibly restored and brought back to life.
  • Explore Israel’s third city, Haifa set on the slopes of Mount Carmel which you will drive alongside on the way.
  • In the city, you will enjoy a view of the beautiful Baha’i Gardens, a world heritage site home to the Baha’i faith.
  • Travel further north, to ancient Acre – a UNESCO recognized World Heritage Site with ancient walled city and colourful market.
  • Visit the caves of Rosh Hanikra, on Israel’s far-northern border.

Golan Heights

  • View of Jerusalem, see the famous view of the Old City with its Mount of Olives, which has become one of the most iconic images of this holy city. See the Garden of Gethsemane and Church of All Nations which sits within it.
  • Crossing the Kidron Valley, enter walled Old City, holy to the three monotheistic faiths (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam)
  • Enjoy an overview of the four quarters including the holiest sites to Christianity, the Via Dolorosa with the stations of the cross, Church of the Holy Sepulcher, as well as the Western (Wailing) Wall, Souq, Cardo, and more
  • Visit Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust Memorial and Museum

Masada and Dead Sea

  • Head to the top of Masada by cable car, and take in the spectacular views of the Dead Sea region, explore the palace of King Herod, and learn the story of this remarkable site
  • Relax at the Dead Sea, float in the waters and immersing in the muds which are bottled and re-sold around the world
  • See Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered

  • The Sea of Galilee’s importance in the life of Jesus is somewhat unrivaled, and on this day we will explore some of the most important sites of this region
  • Visit Magdala, hometown of Mary Magdalene
  • At Kibbutz Ginosar on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, we’ll see the remains of the ‘Jesus Boat’ which was uncovered as the best-discovered remnant of a vessel dating to the time of Christ
  • Visit the Mount of Beatitudes where Jesus delivered his ‘Sermon on the Mount’
  • Visit the Wedding Church in Kfar Cana
  • Overnight in Jerusalem
  • This is an optional day of touring, available for extra $105 per person. If you prefer, you can instead enjoy a free day at leisure.

Northern Jordan – Jerash, Madaba, Mt Nebo
  • Pickup from centralised location in Tel Aviv (your hotel can arrange a taxi for approximately $10)
  • Drive north through the Jordan River Valley to the border crossing with Jordan
  • Enter Jordan and meet your Jordanian tour guide
  • Explore Jerash, one of the most spectacular Roman sites in the world, an extensive and impressive city
  • At Madaba, see the Byzantine Mosaics and church
  • From Mount Nebo, gaze across Israel, the ‘Promised Land’, and see the very same view that Moses had after walking 40 years in the Desert
  • Overnight in Petra

Petra
  • One of the Seven Wonders of the World enjoy a guided tour of the highlights of this unrivaled ancient city which was constructed by the Nabateans in what is an unimaginable feat of human ingenuity
  • Drive through the Jordanian desert to the Wadi Rum desert
  • Overnight in Wadi Rum at a Bedouin Campsite (note that hotel is available in Aqaba for those who would prefer)

Wadi Rum, Aqaba, Eilat, Red Sea
  • With local Bedouin tribes people, enjoy a jeep safari through the magical Wadi Rum Desert. This landscape is termed the “Valley of the Moon” and is famous from popular culture having featured in many historic and current productions
  • In Aqaba, explore the vibrant markets in Jordan’s Red Sea city
  • Relax in Eilat, Israel’s ‘vacation city’ which sits majestically on the Red Sea, before heading back to Jerusalem through the Arava Valley. If light permits, we might see the statue of Lot’s Wife and Mount Sodom.
  • Overnight in Jerusalem (arrival at your hotel is by midnight on this day)
